The Big Time Bucking Horse Futurity

Claiming Yearling Class

We have some information from each of the breeders for our entries in Kiowa’s first ever Yearling Claiming Class:

Bob Alberts brings #812 Croppy Tom, a red roan stallion. Sire: Tom Dooley (Sired by Burch’s 980 out of Burch’s 948) Dam: Cathy’s Lunatic (Sired by a Burch stallion and out of Lunatic Clown, which is sired by Lunatic Fringe out of Cathy’s Clown)

C-T Rodeo, Charlie Thompson has #8X77 Good Girl, a red roan paint filly and also #881 Secret Lover, a dunn stallion.

Here is Charlie’s info on the two:

I have consigned 2 C-T bred yearling colts to the Big Time Bucking Horse Futurity $1500 claiming class in Kiowa, Colorado, August 2.

#881 is a dunn stud colt out of Cervi # U81 "Secret Agent" and sired by C-T #341 "Gunslinger". "Gunslinger" is a son of C-T #720 "Crazy Heart". The other one is #8X77, a red roan filly that is out of C-T #X77 "Good Times" and #341 Gunslinger. She is a double bred #720 "Crazy Heart" grandaughter and should be an excellent brood mare prospect. #720 "Cheating Heart" is either the sire or grandsire to all the colts we have been bucking and winning with since 2016. The yearlings have been bucked 1 time and showed some potential. They are both entered and will be bucked in the $1500 claiming futurity in Kiowa.

Hat Brand Rodeo, Colten Sullivan is bringing 3 colts to the Class: #805 bay stallion, #806 bay stallion and #809 bay stallion.  Videos below.

Smith & White Bucking Stock is bringing #84 Clyde - a sorrel stallion, out of a Jarrett Jackson mare by #911 Mayday.  He hasn't been bucked yet, you'll see him do his thing on Friday, August 2nd in Kiowa.

Soap Creek Buckers, James RealBird is bringing #811 Crow Merc, a brown filly. Her sire is #46 Lucky Cab (Son of Four of a Kind) and her Dam: #W11 Black and Ballou (#3A3 Bob Barnes’ daugher) Her video below is her first and only trip.

XV Ranch, Mike and Misty Arnio are bringing a colt they raised #83 Cheyenne Marksman, a bay gelding and you’ll see him buck at The Big Time Bucking Horse Futurity August 2nd in Kiowa, Colorado

This will be an exciting 1st for both The Big Time Bucking Horse Futurity as well as the World Futurity Association, and we are looking forward to pleasing results.

Points that these horses accumulate at this event will carry on to the new owner and be eligible for year end recognition and awards.
